About Salt Mine: This project was made as my final Connecting Experience for completing the Digital Arts and Media Bridging Disciplines Program certificate, at the University of Texas at Austin.
Initially called: “Beautiful Corner - Concept Art and Hard-Surface Modeling.” Making a beautiful corner is in reference to a games-industry practice, whereupon developers flesh out and fully render one small piece of a game world. This high-quality slice is a standard-bearer for the rest of the project--the whole game should match its fidelity.
